Uncut Gems is not everyone’s cup of tea, but, it definitely is one of the best films of 2019.

Simply said, Uncut Gems is a ‘Crazy Ride’. It’s chaotic, extremely fast-paced and so intense. It can give you a headache if you do not watch this in a mood for a tense ride. But even with that flowing, it does not lose its brilliance for a moment.

From the very first minute into the film, you’re inside a ride full of chaos. That’s right, this movie is a mess. You can either love it or hate it.

The story follows a New York jeweler making a series of high stake bets, and in his pursuit of the ultimate win, he must balance his work, family, his debts, and the collectors who are coming after him. Adam Sandler delivers a phenomenal performance in this film, supported with a brilliant screenplay. The soundtrack is loud and powerful, it’s so cleverly used to build up the tension. This film is Julia Fox’s debut and she does a really great job in the role.

So overall, Uncut Gems is a stressful, riveting thriller, if you’re in the right mood, This film will be an unforgettable experience.
